SENIOR INDIRECT TAX SPECIALIST

Senior Indirect Tax Specialist is a person, who takes on the responsibility for VAT processes and declarations for client Business Unit(s), in accordance with agreed timeline and quality.

Main Responsibilities

• Acquire, analyze and prepare VAT data/ declarations and ensure accurate, compliant and timely submission of VAT declarations;
• Support VAT payment and refund process;
• Maintain accounting procedures related to VAT: settlements, reconciliation of VAT accounts, etc.;
• Maintain ERP master data for indirect taxes;
• Perform quality controls: SOX controls and Internal team's controls;
• Contribute to other projects and duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Main Requirements

• Higher education in Economics/ Finance or relevant field;
• Previous experience in Accounting or finance (experience in VAT accounting will be considered as an advantage);
• Fluency in English (both verbal and written) to communicate with Business Units and colleagues in Europe and USA;
• Knowledge of German would be considered as an advantage to communicate with BU Germany;
• At least 2-3 years experience of VAT Compliance;
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines;
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, previous experience with ERP systems will be considered as an advantage.
