Senior IT Contract Manager (f/m/d)

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Independently negotiate, draft, and finalize IT contracts (e.g., service agreements, software licenses, project contracts) with suppliers, demand owners, and partners, ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor contract fulfillment throughout the lifecycle, manage contract changes, and resolve disputes and claims.
- Collaborate closely with Center of Excellence, Legal, Procurement, and provider teams to align contract terms with business objectives and risk management standards.
- Coach and consult teams in defining functional, technical, and non‑functional requirements.
- Advise project managers, service leads, owners, and IT management on contractual matters, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Manage and execute end‑to‑end RfI and RfP for IT services and projects, including bid evaluation and support of the selection process.
- Support continuous improvement of contract management and RfI/RfP processes, tools, and automation.
- Track contract performance, milestones, and ensure timely delivery of contractual deliverables.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant IT technologies, industry standards, and best practices in contract management.
Qualifications and experience
- University degree in Law, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in contract management, IT Service Management, Project Management, and Sourcing & Procurement, ideally in the IT Telecommunication / Infrastructure sector or a large corporate environment.
- Proven track record in independently negotiating and managing complex IT contracts and claims.
- Experience with RfI and RfP processes and bid management.
- Strong understanding of IT technologies, project management methodologies, and service operations in a corporate context.
- Collaborative ability with Center of Excellence, Legal, Procurement, and provider management teams.
- Solid IT fundamentals or a strong willingness to quickly acquire necessary IT knowledge.
- Certification in contract management (e.g., IACCM/WorldCC, NCMA) or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
- Experience with international contracts and cross‑border negotiations is preferred.
- Familiarity with compliance, data protection, and cybersecurity requirements in IT contracts is a plus.
Attributes and skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); German language skills are an advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
