The Senior Lecturer (Education Focused) is an experienced General Practitioner with broad expertise in clinical medicine who plays a leadership role in delivering high-quality teaching and driving educational excellence across undergraduate and postgraduate medical programs. Grounded in contemporary clinical practice, the role focuses on designing, delivering and assessing innovative, student-centred learning experiences.
Reporting to the Associate Professor, the position carries responsibility for course coordination and academic quality assurance, ensuring curriculum and assessment reflect current professional, ethical and legal standards. The Senior Lecturer provides educational leadership by mentoring academic and clinical educators, working collaboratively with academic, clinical and professional stakeholders, and contributing to School and Faculty activities. The role fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement, while upholding UNSW’s values and health and safety responsibilities.
