Responsibilities

• Core Linux Administration, OS Administration RedHat, SuSE
• Backup and restore using NetBackup
• Disaster recovery activity during plant maintenance
• Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and implement solutions.
• Execute patching
• Create documentation / SOPs for the team
• Execute hardware calls as needed
• Dispatch tickets to the team or perform queue management as an added responsibility
• Opportunity to mentor team members, available for critical and high severity incidents

Key Skills

• Excellent knowledge of Linux/Unix System Administration for large complex setups.
• Knowledge in virtualization technologies (VMware), Veritas Cluster, Xen Server and/or Cloud.
• Fluent in English, German a plus.
• Proficient guiding multilingual teams.
• Collaborate with Automation/DevOps, networking, and security teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, effective communication of complex topics.
• Experience in large infrastructure environments.
• Excellent client‑handling skills.
• Know‑how with system hardware.
• ITIL process experience.
• Certification in SUSE or RHCE preferred.
