Where your expertise is needed

• Team Ownership : Take responsibility for your team’s output, culture, and member growth. Provide psychological safety and set boundaries for sustainable performance.
• Scientific Leadership : Lead 5‑10 machine‑learning researchers to high‑impact results. Offer guidance, reviews, and coaching, leveraging broad machine‑learning knowledge to solve tough problems.
• Strategic Thinking : Align the team’s goals with Aignostics’ strategy, coordinate with stakeholders, and prioritize effectively.
• Technical Project Management : Own the roadmap, manage workload, mitigate risks, and balance short‑term delivery with long‑term sustainability.
• Communication : Keep stakeholders informed, translate technical matters for non‑technical audiences, and facilitate cross‑team collaboration.

What we are looking for

• Passion for growing and developing team members
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• PhD (or equivalent) in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field
• At least 5 years of professional experience, with 2 + years in a leadership role
• Eagerness to lead initiatives, learn new technologies, and excel in a complex domain
• Strong theoretical foundations and deep machine‑learning understanding
• Knowledge of software development, cloud computing, and ML stacks
• Commitment to scientific and operational excellence
• Preference for flat hierarchies and collaborative environments

Ideally, you also have

• Experience in digital pathology or medical imaging
• Experience building large‑scale self‑supervised deep‑learning “Foundation Models” for vision and language
