Senior Manager, Finance and Accounting - Financial Services TWE44520

We’re partnering with a fast-growing Financial Services firm based in Berlin seeking a Senior Controller to take ownership of all accounting operations, driving the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will manage daily accounting activities, oversee financial statements and support ongoing improvements for greater efficiency.

You will:

• Lead and manage core accounting processes to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements following accounting standards.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Identify and champion opportunities to streamline and automate processes.
• Manage audit preparation and collaboration with both internal teams and external auditors.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with evolving accounting regulations (HGB, IFRS).
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and provide actionable insights through financial analysis.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and accountability.

Key Skills

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, including leadership responsibilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional fluency in both German and English (written and verbal)
• Proficiency in DATEV; experience with Xero and advanced Excel skills
• Deep knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
• Strong organisational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Experience in Private Equity environments (desirable)
• Experience with Pigment and AI‑driven tools (desirable)
