Senior Manager Master Data Governance (m/f/d)

As part of a newly established, center-led strategy and our global SAP S/4HANA transformation, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Procurement Master Data Governance . In this newly created role, you will build and lead a team responsible for vendor master data governance across Global Indirect Procurement.

You will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing data governance policies and processes, ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and security of critical vendor and financial data within SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA, and related systems. Reporting in a matrix structure to the global data governance leadership, you will collaborate closely with procurement, finance, supply chain, and IT stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global data governance frameworks, policies, and processes for vendor master data
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance across systems (SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA, ServiceNow, Instore)
• Lead a growing team of at least four data professionals, supporting recruitment, performance, and development
• Support ERP transformation by harmonizing vendor data and aligning processes with future-state requirements
• Partner with global peers in data stewardship (customer, material, inventory domains) to drive alignment
• Oversee audit readiness, access control, data integrity, and issue resolution
• Contribute to digitalization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Drive change management, end-user training, and adoption of new tools and standards
• Act as main point of contact for procurement MDG topics, providing updates, insights, and recommendations to leadership

Your Profile

• University degree in Information Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 7–10 years of experience in data management, ideally within global procurement, finance, or shared services
• Expertise in ERP systems and vendor master data (SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA, P2P lifecycle, TPRM frameworks)
• Proven leadership experience, including team building and cross-functional collaboration
• Strong understanding of ISO and data governance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, 9001, 38505-1)
• Certifications such as CIMP, CDMP, or ISO Lead Implementer/Auditor are a plus
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate complex data concepts for diverse audiences
• Experience with process transformation and global data strategy implementation is highly desirable
