The Opportunity

As a Senior ML Engineer within the professional services team, you will combine deep technical expertise with strong client engagement. You will fine-tune large language models, build and optimise retrieval pipelines, and deliver tailored solutions that meet client-specific needs.

You’ll have a direct impact on shaping client deployments, creating custom tooling and infrastructure, and providing technical feedback to continuously improve the product offering.

Your Work & Tech Focus

Fine-tune LLMs on domain-specific client datasets
Design and optimise retrieval pipelines (RAG, vector search, retrieval parameters)
Build and maintain custom tooling and infrastructure for client solutions
Script and automate data preparation workflows
Monitor deployed ML systems and ensure compliance with enterprise standards (GDPR, multilingual environments, high availability)
Translate client requirements into technical implementations and provide product improvement ideas

Essential Skills

Fluent German (spoken and written) – mandatory
Strong English communication skills
Proven experience training, fine-tuning, and deploying LLMs
Expertise with Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
Strong understanding of retrieval pipelines, RAG, and vector databases
Knowledge of optimisation techniques (quantisation, PEFT, distillation)
Experience working directly with clients to understand needs and deliver scalable ML solutions
Experience deploying ML systems at production scale
