Role Overview

Be part of ControlExpert, a solvd Group company based in Munich, pioneering innovative automotive damage management solutions. Since 2002 we process over 18 million vehicle damage claims annually and aim to automate the settlement process with AI‑driven digital tools, creating a global platform for insurers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key liaison for our R&D department and shape our AI landscape.
• Design and optimize the entire Machine Learning lifecycle within the architecture team.
• Ensure seamless integration and efficient execution of ML processes from data preparation to production model monitoring.
• Develop automated ML reference pipelines using leading technologies such as Databricks, MLflow, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Oversee implementation of quality assurance and efficiency tools via CI/CD, including automated testing and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to optimize data preparation, feature engineering, and model development for production deployment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or similar.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role focused on Machine Learning Operations, AI Architecture, DevOps for ML systems, or Data Engineering, preferably with deep knowledge of Snowflake or Databricks.
• Proven ability to work in interdisciplinary teams, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to grasp and convey complex technical concepts.
• Extensive knowledge of modern ML technologies and frameworks, experience with DevOps practices, automation, container technologies, cloud, and orchestration.
• Fluent in German and English.
