We actively drive AI transformation as part of BMW Group IT. Our team of strategists, architects, and developers designs innovative data and AI platforms and implements projects that create tangible value for customers and the organisation.
Design, development, training, validation, and continuous optimisation of ML models for production-grade automotive use cases, covering the full lifecycle from initial prototype to long-term operation.
Hands-on work with large-scale, heterogeneous engineering, vehicle, and business data, transforming complex data landscapes into robust, high-performing models.
End-to-end ownership of model performance, robustness, explainability, and lifecycle management in real-world business environments.
Deployment of models into productive systems, including operational monitoring and iterative improvement based on real-world feedback and performance metrics.
Close collaboration with data stewards, platform engineers, and solution architects to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant AI solutions.
A university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, Physics, or comparable qualifications.
At least five years of professional experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining AI/ML models in a business or industrial setting.
Proven success in bringing models from research or prototype stage into productive, value-generating operations. deep learning, time series, NLP, multimodal models) and their practical limitations.
Hands-on experience with Python-based ML stacks and production environments (training, inference, monitoring).
A solid understanding of data quality, bias, robustness, and compliance requirements for enterprise AI systems.
Very good written and spoken English skills. Knowledge of German, both written and spoken, is an advantage.
