Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver network security projects including planning, design, migrations, upgrades, and new implementations.
• Configure, operate, and optimize firewall environments with a focus on Check Point and Fortinet.
• Support data center and customer infrastructures, including VMware NSX-T environments.
• Contribute to automation initiatives with tools such as Python, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Provide technical expertise in pre-sales engagements, helping to shape customer solutions and project proposals.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues, working closely with vendors when required.

Skills / Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in network security engineering with strong hands-on firewall knowledge (Check Point / Fortinet).
• Deep understanding of network protocols, network design, and security architectures.
• Experience with virtualization environments (ideally VMware NSX-T).
• Knowledge of automation and scripting for infrastructure environments (Python, Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong analytical, structured working style combined with a collaborative team approach.
• Excellent communication skills in German and good command of English.
