About us

The Unit is a software development company with HQ in Ireland, focused on Sports betting, Gambling & iGaming industries. Our team is delighted to have collaborated with customers from across the globe since 2017.

We are actively extending our team and looking for a Senior Node.js Engineer who will play a key role in the development and maintenance of our web applications.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js.
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Implement security and data protection measures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Node.js development.

Requirements

Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
4+ years of experience with Node.js & NestJS
Strong TypeScript skills & deep Node.js knowledge (async programming, event loop, etc.)
Solid grasp of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) & Clean Architecture
Hands-on with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) & NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB)
Experience with message queues & caching (e.g., Redis)
Skilled in building RESTful or GraphQL APIs
Understanding of scalable app design principles
Familiar with Git, Docker, Kubernetes & CI/CD pipelines
Strong debugging/problem-solving abilities
Fluent in English (B2+)
Excellent team and communication skills
