Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development of one or more of the software components within our Mapless Autonomy Platform.
- Develop deep learning perception models for onboard inference on edge compute devices, e.g. for object detection, segmentation and lane detection with Python.
- Design and maintain data pipelines to ingest and process terabytes of incoming sensor data with Python.
- Identify software requirements in close contact with technical experts and customer needs to design appropriate algorithms and solutions.
- Implement high-quality embedded software for real-time deployment on real vehicles in C++.
- Ensure the fulfilment of performance, safety and quality requirements with software and simulation testing as well as real-world deployment on our development vehicle.
- Support our customers and solution engineers for deployment of our software on their vehicles – including on-site/on-vehicle testing and application engineering.
Background
- Several years of professional experience and a strong technical foundation in deep learning or MLOps.
- Degree in computer science, robotics, engineering or related (Bachelor, Master, or PhD).
- Experience with driver assistance systems and / or autonomous driving.
- Experience with modern software engineering tools, including version control, continuous integration and testing as well as cloud-based development.
- Willingness to deep-dive into new challenges and make our product a true next-generation software platform for automotive applications.
- Strong team-player and the ability to communicate complex technology in a clear and straight-forward way to match customer and project expectations.
- Experience with modern C++ and embedded software engineering for real-time applications is a plus.
- Experience with modern frameworks for data analysis, data selection, model tracking is a plus.
