Our client is a cloud services provider and subsidiary of one of the world’s most successful corporate groups (Top 5 in its industry with annual revenues exceeding EUR 100 billion).
Equipped with its own data centres exclusively based in Europe, this company enables its global customers to process and store their data securely, efficiently and legally compliant while its 400 employees build out, develop and operate cloud-based infrastructures, platforms and services for various entities within the holding.

To keep up with the growing demand, the company is currently expanding its Central Services division, which is why we are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer (m/f/d) .

Responsibilities

As Senior Platform Engineer you collaborate closely with other Platform specialists as well as AI Engineers to not only improve the current platform but also enhance its usability and functionality by supporting the development and integration of AI based tools and services.

Tasks of the Senior Cloud Platform Engineer include

• Architectural design and implementation of platform components and features with Golang
• Automation and management of container orchestration as well as selection and coding of suitable operators with Kubernetes
• Development and integration of other automations, e.g IaC and CI/CD
• Routine revisions of technical feasibilities of new and existing solutions
• Mentoring and guidance of other staff, supporting them with advice and hands-on help when needed
• Leading and engaging in technical discussions that can include several deparments and subsidaries
• Close communication with the Engineering Manager and assigned Product Owner to drive projects forward

Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in developing and implementing data processing platforms, infrastructures or applications
• Profound expertise with Golang and Kubernetes
• Keen interest in the cloud native development approach
• The ability of working in an international, versatile team
• Good communicational skills across all levels and areas (including non-technical staff)
• Fluency in English; German is not required
