The Role

Your Mission We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design and evolve the foundation that powers our engineering organization. This role focuses on building platform enablers that accelerate product delivery, improve developer experience, and ensure secure, compliant, and reliable systems. You will combine cloud‑native expertise, SRE practices, and AI‑driven innovation to create a platform that is resilient, developer‑friendly, and future‑ready. You will play a pivotal role in shaping DevEx tooling, service blueprints, edge computing and identity frameworks, while also driving adoption of Agentic AI and Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enhance automation, observability, and developer productivity. Your work will empower teams to deliver high‑quality software faster, with confidence and compliance built in.

Key Responsibilities

Platform & Enablers

• Architect and evolve platform services that abstract complexity and provide reusable enablers for product teams.
• Build service blueprints and boilerplate frameworks to accelerate secure, consistent service creation.
• Establish clear APIs, guardrails, and documentation for self‑service infrastructure.

Developer Experience (DevEx) Tooling

• Design and maintain developer‑centric tooling that improves workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and local development.
• Champion automation‑first culture, reducing friction and manual toil across engineering.
• Continuously improve DevEx metrics (time‑to‑deploy, onboarding speed, feedback loops).

Security, Compliance & Identity

• Implement identity and access management aligned with zero‑trust principles.
• Ensure compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, GDPR) are embedded into platform workflows.
• Partner with security teams to integrate policy‑as‑code and proactive risk detection.

Quality & Reliability (SRE)

• Champion SRE practices: availability, latency, performance, efficiency, and incident response.
• Define and enforce SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets across platform services.
• Implement observability tooling (metrics, logs, traces) with actionable insights.

AI Platform & Innovation

• Drive adoption of Agentic AI for automated workflows, incident response, and developer enablement.
• Integrate Model Context Protocol (MCP) into platform services to enhance AI‑assisted development.
• Explore and introduce AI‑driven automation for CI/CD, monitoring, and compliance.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner with product engineers to align platform evolution with business needs.
• Mentor engineers across teams, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and backend excellence.
• Lead cross‑functional initiatives in cost optimization, compliance, and developer experience.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in platform engineering, SRE, or DevEx tooling.
• Strong coding skills in Node.js and TypeScript, with emphasis on building reusable frameworks.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud‑native infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with identity management, IAM, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI platforms, Agentic AI, and MCP.
• Strong background in observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence engineering culture.
