For our Products & Analytics team within our Unit Life/Health Global Underwriting & R&D we are seeking to appoint a Senior Pricing Actuary (d/f/m) based in our Cologne office starting as soon as possible.
Your Role
- Design, modify and develop innovative life and health insurance products , creating creative and practical solutions tailored to the needs of our international primary insurance clients.
- Conduct research and develop actuarial models to quantify biometric risks, including mortality and morbidity.
- Analyze portfolios to generate actionable insights that strengthen pricing bases, improve tools, and deliver added value for our clients.
- Foster knowledge exchange globally , ensuring effective collaboration and shared expertise across diverse professional backgrounds.
- Represent the company at client workshops, internal and external events, and contribute to thought leadership through specialist publications and presentations.
Your Profile
- A completed university degree in Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or another analytically oriented field
- At least four years of relevant experience in life or health insurance, reinsurance or consulting sectors
- Fully qualified actuary or the final stages of actuarial qualification
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German is desirable; additional language skills are an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office and solid expertise in at least one programming or related language (e.g., R, SQL); practical experience in portfolio analysis desirable
- Interest in understanding drivers of mortality and morbidity risks like medical or environmental changes
- Ability to communicate complex ideas and issues to a varied audience
