The Product Design team at Shine

To help Shine achieve its ambitious roadmap and company goals, our Product Design team is made up of 15 talented people across four areas: Staff Design, Copywriting, Banking, and Invoicing & Accounting , which you’ll be part of.

In this role, you’ll join the Banking domain and work closely with a cross‑functional squad (Product, Engineering, Data, Ops, Compliance) on customer lifecycle experiences across multiple European markets.

Your direct manager will be Arnaud Le Roux, Head of Design (Banking) , and you’ll partner day‑to‑day with your Product and Engineering counterparts within the squad.

Your role as a Senior Product Designer

You’ll own end‑to‑end design for onboarding and KYC flows across web + mobile , designing for dual audiences : end customers and internal ops teams. Your mission is to drive conversion & activation , reduce friction in compliance‑heavy moments, and build scalable patterns that can be reused across products/markets.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Own onboarding/KYC experience from discovery → delivery → measurable impact
• Diagnose and improve conversion/activation funnels and operational efficiency
• Lead discovery with customers and ops teams; synthesize insights into decisions
• Design and iterate complex multi‑step flows under regulatory constraints
• Collaborate with Compliance/Legal to translate requirements into great UX
• Contribute scalable patterns to the design system (onboarding/KYC components)
• Partner with PM/EM on prioritization, trade‑offs, and roadmap shaping
• Participate in design rituals and raise quality while shipping pragmatically

Job located in Amsterdam / Berlin / Copenhagen / Paris , with possibility of two remote working days per week.

About You

• 6+ years experience designing digital products; experience in regulated environments is a strong plus
• Strong track record in complex multi‑step flows (onboarding/KYC or similar)
• Proven end‑to‑end ownership with shipped outcomes and impact validation
• Excellent problem framing and decision‑making under constraints/trade‑offs
• Hands‑on user research & synthesis; strong collaboration with PM/Engineering
• Confident cross‑platform designer (web + mobile)
• Comfortable partnering with Ops/Compliance/Legal stakeholders
• Strong communicator in English (written and spoken)
• Bonus: fintech/banking, compliance‑heavy products, data‑informed design, technical literacy, mentorship
