Join to apply for the Senior Product Designer (d/f/m) role at Kleinanzeigen .
Kleinanzeigen is the leading online classifieds market in Germany with more than 50 million ads and 36 million monthly users. Founded in 2009 as eBay Kleinanzeigen, it became part of Adevinta in 2021 and changed its name to Kleinanzeigen in 2023. The platform focuses on sustainability by enabling users to sell second‑hand items and supports companies with a robust online marketplace.
About the Role
As a Senior Product Designer in our Core domain, you will shape the end‑to‑end experience that enables millions of users to buy and sell successfully. You’ll own design across the entire product lifecycle—from early discovery and problem framing to concept development, prototyping, delivery, and continuous iteration. Working closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and data specialists, you’ll help build intuitive, reliable, and delightful experiences that empower users to sell with confidence, find what they need and interact safely on the platform.
What you’ll do
- Lead and participate in user research, uncovering insights that translate into clear hypotheses and meaningful product opportunities.
- Create and iterate on customer journeys, wireframes, prototypes and high‑fidelity UI that clarify direction and move the team from problem to solution.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to design for real user needs, continuously optimising products based on user feedback and business impact.
- Define clear, scalable and accessible patterns that support a consistent UX across the marketplace.
- Partner with PMs, engineers and researchers throughout all phases—ideation, concepting, prototyping, testing, delivery and iteration. Facilitate ideation workshops, conduct user interviews, run usability tests and synthesise insights into actionable design recommendations.
- Advocate for user‑centred design, ensuring that coherence, simplicity and safety remain at the core of all experiences.
- Support and contribute to a strong, collaborative and feedback‑driven design culture.
What you bring
- Several years of experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer or Interaction Designer in an agile environment.
- Strong conceptual and interaction design skills: You excel at turning complex systems into simple, intuitive interfaces.
- A keen eye for visual design and experience working with and contributing to a design system.
- Hands‑on experience with user research and usability testing and confidence in turning findings into actionable next steps.
- Comfort sharing work early and often, receiving feedback and collaborating openly across functions.
- Ability to balance user needs, product vision and technical constraints while staying pragmatic and user‑focused.
- Fluency in English and German (needed for collaboration and user interviews).
- Flexibility in working across multiple product areas, adapting easily to changing priorities.
Benefits
- An attractive Base Salary
- Participation in our Short Term Incentive plan (annual bonus)
- Work From Anywhere: Enjoy up to 20 days a year of working from anywhere. If you have internet connectivity, you’re free to choose your location.
- A 24/7 Employee Assistance Program for you and your family, because we care
