Mission

The mission of Speechify is to make sure that reading is never a barrier to learning.

Over 50 million people use Speechify’s text‑to‑speech products to turn whatever they’re reading – PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, websites – into audio, so they can read faster, read more, and remember more. Speechify’s text‑to‑speech reading products include its iOS app, Android app, Mac app, Chrome Extension, and Web app. Google recently named Speechify the Chrome Extension of the Year and Apple named Speechify its 2025 Design Award winner for Inclusivity.

Today, nearly 200 people around the globe work on Speechify in a 100% distributed setting – Speechify has no office. These team members come from Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and many other companies.

What You'll Do

• Pitch, prototype, test, build, ship, and refine new features
• Refine our UX/UI patterns across our iOS and Android apps
• Rethink onboarding and core user flows
• Influence the product roadmap
• Refine our processes and help shape the design organization

Ideal Candidate Should Have

• Experience: Demonstrated work that includes research, discovery, prototyping, and delivery of consumer‑facing products across multiple platforms
• Product thinking: Ability to articulate strategy and explain the “what,” “why,” and “how.” Comfortable using analytics and working side‑by‑side with PMs to identify key opportunities.
• Customer‑centricity: Comfortable talking with customers and integrating their feedback into the design process.
• Collaboration: Ability to inspire, play, and negotiate with opinionated PMs, engineers, and executives.
• Communication: Articulate and able to explain ideas at various resolutions; strong written communication.
• Focus: Ability to manage a high‑growth startup pace, engaging or working heads‑down as appropriate.
