Senior Product Engineer (Frontend)

TL;DR

We’re hiring aSenior Product Engineer (Frontend )to design and build intuitive, scalable interfaces for thedeepset AI Platform. You’ll own features end to end, create reusable components, and evolve our design system to support real-world, complex workflows. You’ll champion frontend best practices and collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to shape how developers and enterprises interact with our platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a Frontend Engineer, ideally in fast-paced or startup environments
• Proficient in JavaScript and modern frameworks. Our stack: TypeScript, React, Redux, Sass
• Strong grasp of frontend architecture, performance, and debugging techniques
• Experienced with writing and maintaining tests
• Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable taking ownership

• Familiarity with Python and backend systems
• Previous experience building software for enterprise customers

What you will do

• Design and build a scalable AI platform that helps users solve real business problems with LLMs
• Develop infrastructure to support thousands of LLM applications, processing millions of documents and handling 100s of user requests per second
• Own backend features end to end, from architecture and CI/CD to testing, monitoring, and customer feedback
• Collaborate with the Open Source team to improve and contribute to Haystack
• Partner with the infrastructure team on performance, observability, and debugging
• Help resolve high-priority production issues with customer-facing impact
• Improve reliability by maintaining strong debugging tools and processes
• Mentor other engineers and support their technical growth
