About the Role
You will be a technically‑minded and strategically focused Senior Product Manager responsible for the product strategy and execution of the foundational data and AI services developed by the Data Science team. You will work closely with Data Scientists and AI Engineers to translate advanced techniques (entity resolution, semantic similarity, generative enrichment) into trusted, scalable data assets. This position reports to the VP of Data Products.
What You’ll Be Doing
Data Strategy & Quality
- Define requirements for the ingestion, cleaning, normalization, and integration of raw publications data, and partner with Data Science to establish rigorous metadata extraction and data quality standards.
- Own the strategy for building and maintaining our curated Researcher Profiles dataset, leveraging AI/ML‑based entity resolution and disambiguation techniques.
- Champion data quality, asking sophisticated questions about precision, recall, and potential bias in models.
AI/ML Product Leadership
- Lead the roadmap for Machine Learning and AI methods used for document augmentation (classification, concept extraction, topic modeling).
- Work with Data Scientists to understand the performance and trade‑offs of AI models, translating insights into concrete product improvements.
- Develop a multi‑year roadmap for transitioning from rule‑based data enrichment to adaptive AI systems.
Vision & Execution
- Guide the long‑term strategy, vision, and roadmap for your data product areas, ensuring contributions to revenue growth and competitive advantage.
- Lead the end‑to‑end data product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch.
- Establish frameworks for rapid experimentation with AI models (A/B testing, drift monitoring) and champion responsible AI practices.
Stakeholder & GTM
- Collaborate with stakeholders on go‑to‑market plans for product initiatives.
- Assist the Commercial & Business Operations team with writing and reviewing RFP responses.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience as a Product Manager, with a dedicated focus on data products, data platforms, or core data services.
- Technical fluency in ML/AI: strong interest and hands‑on experience or deep familiarity with the application of Machine Learning, AI, and Natural Language Processing (NLP) for data enrichment (classification, entity resolution).
- Demonstrated experience working directly with Data Science and Machine Learning teams, understanding the AI model development lifecycle.
- Technical fluency in data technologies and concepts (e.g., SQL, data warehousing, data pipelines, model evaluation metrics).
- Data quality ownership: proven ability to define and enforce rigorous data quality standards within complex data pipelines.
- Excellent ability to synthesize complex, technical information into clear, actionable requirements and compelling business cases.
We encourage candidates who do not meet every qualification to apply. We are dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive team.
