Senior Product Manager Risk (dwm)

Description

Risk Product is the management of the systems and suppliers that decision customers for credit. The UK business has moved onto a new platform to acquire credit customers which incorporates a new decision engine.

This platform is live in the UK and will be rolled out across other European markets starting with Germany giving the business scope for greater flexibility and agility to add new features and make enhancements going forward.

Responsibilities

• Lead the relationship with Risk stakeholders in the markets
• Lead the relationship with third party vendors including any associated contracts and budgets
• Help define and lead the implementation of our Risk platform in Germany for our German Bank and then beyond collaborating across the business and with third party vendors to ensure a successful launch
• Post implementation of new risk platform lead the creation and delivery of a roadmap of features and enhancements to enable us to decision customers effectively compliantly and with a best-in-class experience for our customers
• Collaborate across a wide organization internally and with third parties to deliver roadmap
• Work closely with the Risk Operational Compliance and Legal teams to understand requirements and appetite including regulatory requirements
• Work closely with our wider Product function including Consumer Commercial and Dealer all of which rely on Risk Product within their customer experiences
• Work closely with Engineering and Solutions Architecture to scope solutions
• Work closely with existing and potential third parties that help support Risk Product
• Through quantitative and qualitive methods constantly evaluate the solutions youve delivered to measure how theyre performing and track theyre solving the intended customer problem
• Own and maintain the overall quality of your product / feature area to ensure you and your team are always delivering world class software in every release
• Support senior product leaders across Ford Credit to ensure the overarching product vision can be realized

Qualifications

• 5 years experience working with digital data-oriented products in a digital product team
• Thorough knowledge of credit risk systems bureaus and practices within Germany and Europe
• Proven experience in product management in the remit of back-end digital services in a software or tech company with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
• Proven track record of successfully launching and managing software products (front or backend or both) throughout their lifecycle
• Knowledge of Financial services sector within Germany
• An excellent communicator with the ability to articulate and advocate for the product vision and strategy especially in and across back-end digital services
• Technically proficient with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• An organized detail orientated person who can ask the right questions to help ensure we ship amazing products
• A self-starter who shows initiative and self-drive to get the job done
• Bachelors degree or combination of experience and education
• Excellent knowledge of the German language as frequent cooperation with German suppliers (e.g. credit bureaus) is required
