Senior Project Developer - BESS/PV/Wind (m/f/d)

Join a rapidly growing, internationally backed renewable energy developer with a 1.5GW development pipeline in Germany. They are backed by a global investor managing over $300 billion in assets and seek a Senior Developer with progression to Head of Development.

The Company

A fast-growing international renewables platform with a global pipeline exceeding 15 GW across solar and storage. In Germany, the company is advancing a 3+ GW portfolio of utility-scale projects, with several hundred megawatts already in advanced development with grid secured. The team has recently expanded its local presence to strengthen land acquisition, permitting, and grid connection expertise, positioning itself as a long-term player in the German energy transition.

The Role

Drive site identification and secure land agreements for large-scale battery storage projects in Germany and across Europe.
Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, municipalities, authorities, and development partners.
Lead early-stage project development through to ready-to-build status, ensuring technical and commercial feasibility.
Oversee permitting, grid connection applications, and environmental assessments.
Carry out financial and regulatory analyses to support investment decisions.
Work closely with internal specialists across engineering, finance, and legal functions to align on project delivery.
Report to the MD.
Progression to Head of Development.

The Person

Degree in industrial engineering, energy management, environmental planning, or a related field.
Experience in renewable energy project development, ideally with a focus on storage, solar, or wind projects.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, particularly with local authorities, government bodies, and landowners.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and approval processes in Germany.
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a readiness for frequent travel.
Native German speaker or C1 level, with fluent English.
