Senior Psychologist

We are looking for an experienced psychologist familiar with adult mental health presentations, neurodiversity, and complex trauma to join our integrated Mental Health Care team at HMP Stocken, a Category C training prison housing around 1 056 patients, primarily aged 21‑40. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership, supervision, and direct therapy within a trauma‑informed environment.

About the Role

• Lead the Integrated Mental Health Team and support the development of the psychological therapies service.
• Manage two Assistant Psychologists.
• Offer 1:1, group, and trauma‑informed interventions as part of the "Making Sense" Programme.
• Undertake psychological assessments and multidisciplinary formulations.
• Contribute to audit, service evaluation, and research.

Hours

This part‑time role is 22.5 hours per week, worked over 3 days (Monday‑Friday, with flexible day selection).

Salary

Up to £61,190 per annum (FTE) depending on experience.

Candidates Must Have

Full HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist. Candidates will undergo additional vetting and security checks due to the secure nature of the role.
