Payments

Payments is a core product for Cash Management and one of the growth areas in Deutsche Bank’s strategy. In order to support the growth ambitions and to remain a leading global player in the competitive payments market, significant investment in the payment infrastructure of Deutsche Bank are applied. The changes must support market dynamics – changing market infrastructures, evolving client demand and increasing competition – and must address the Bank’s existing infrastructure complexity. The foundation to this investment is a target state architecture for the end‑to‑end payment process.

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer (f/m/x) you will be responsible for defining testing strategy, automation frameworks development, performing functional and non‑functional testing, proposing and implementing improvements to the full life‑cycle of testing activities starting from specification and design to successful production rollout and level 3 production support.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Participate and contribute to test artefacts like test plan, test scenario, test cases, with other team members (functional, integration and performance tests for business/technical tasks)
• Active collaboration with business analysts, developers and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
• Develop and implement test automation frameworks and reusable components for various platforms and technologies
• Be hands‑on with ability to lead a team, track & monitor automation KPIs and develop automation scripts
• Create, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Release preparation: support target date deliveries, based on the clarified scope with the Business team; prepare corresponding reports; provide regression cycle support

Your Skills And Experiences

• Several years IT background and several years of experience in Software Quality Assurance QA automation / software development hands‑on experience
• Solid knowledge of core Java, experience of backend automation, including working with REST, Oracle, jmx. Experience with Spring will be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance processes and practice as part of SDLC
• Expertise in cloud‑native development, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud platforms (GCP, AWS or similar) and scalable distributed systems
• Experience in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GIT, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
