Senior Quality Assurance Analyst (iOS & Android)

We’re looking for a Senior QA Analyst to help quality efforts across our iOS and Android platforms for the CyberGhost (CG) and Private Internet Access (PIA) products. In this role, you’ll combine deep mobile expertise, sharp exploratory testing skills, and a strategic mindset to ensure high‑quality user experiences across phones, tablets, and TV devices.

You’ll play a key role in shaping test strategy, mentoring peers, and working cross‑functionally to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

• Define and champion QA strategy for cross‑platform mobile features, including clear risk assessments, test plans, and exploratory charters.
• Help end‑to‑end validation efforts across iOS and Android — covering functional, integration, localization, and network‑sensitive scenarios.
• Drive deep exploratory testing with high signal‑to‑noise feedback that uncovers edge cases, regressions, and platform inconsistencies.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to refine stories, improve testability, and influence product decisions early.
• Maintain and evolve test documentation, coverage maps, risk registers, and regression suites to ensure traceability and release readiness.
• Partner with developers to implement accessibility identifiers, diagnostics, test hooks, and feature flags for improved test automation and observability.
• Guide defect triage and resolution with clear, data‑backed reports including repro steps, logs, and root cause insights.
• Support release management including build distribution, TestFlight / Play Console readiness, and go/no‑go decision reports.

• Adept at balancing speed and depth — you know when to be pragmatic and when to go deep.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of QA experience , with 3+ years of hands‑on testing for native iOS and Android apps .
• Proficiency in mobile debugging tools:
  • iOS: Xcode, Instruments, sysdiagnose, console logs
  • Android: Android Studio, Logcat, bugreports, ADB
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute high‑quality test plans, exploratory charters, and risk‑based coverage strategies.
• Experience validating complex user flows including offline modes, captive portals, VPN/proxy interactions, and roaming behavior.
• Fluency in writing clear, actionable bug reports and collaborating to drive them to closure.

Nice to Have

• Experience with mobile test automation (XCTest/XCUITest, Espresso, UIAutomator), including CI/CD integration.
• Familiarity with pipelines like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Xcode Cloud.
• Diagnostic tools experience: Feature flag systems.
• Exposure to tvOS, Android TV, or macOS testing.
