Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Executive Consultant building the best Data & AI/ML teams across Germany

Location – Berlin/Hybrid

Languages – Candidates must be able to speak at least a German C1 level.

We're currently seeking a Senior QA Engineer with a focus on AI for a leading financial services company in the heart of Berlin.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and continuously refine testing approaches and quality strategies within an agile delivery environment, acting as the key reference for modern test methodologies with a strong emphasis on AI‑driven solutions.
• Assess and validate Large Language Models (LLMs) in terms of reliability, accuracy, resilience, and performance, and design appropriate validation frameworks for their operational use.
• Establish and maintain testability across systems, including test environments, tooling, and data, while actively advancing automation initiatives for backend services and AI components.
• Promote and embed Continuous Testing practices aligned with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
• Provide transparent reporting on quality status and test outcomes to relevant stakeholders, including ownership of final readiness and release validation documentation.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment on quality standards, processes, and delivery expectations.

Candidate Profile

• Academic background in a STEM discipline or equivalent professional qualification, complemented by relevant hands‑on experience.
• Proven expertise in software quality assurance, particularly in environments involving AI or data‑driven systems.
• Practical experience evaluating, validating, and deploying Large Language Models in production contexts.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with demonstrated experience in automated testing frameworks.
• A structured, analytical, and solution‑focused working style, combined with the ability to operate effectively within cross‑functional teams.
• Professional proficiency in both German and English, written and spoken.
• Familiarity with API testing methodologies is considered a plus.
