Senior Research Scientist (gn) in Biochemistry/Biophysics with focus SPR

Opportunity at PROTEROS biostructures GmbH for a Senior Research Scientist focusing on SPR.

Mission

• Support internal and customer drug discovery projects by biochemical and biophysical characterization of ligand‑target interactions.
• Further strengthen the SPR group by developing and applying methods for screening and characterization of fragment‑target, small molecule‑target, DNA or RNA‑target, biologic‑target and protein‑protein interactions.
• Work with technologies such as nanoDSF, MST, ITC and enzymatic assays including AlphaLISA, ELISA, Abs, Lumi, FI, FP, FRET and HTRF based assays.
• Analyze and summarize results in reports, discuss with customers and integrate data into their drug discovery projects.
• Serve as member of interdisciplinary teams alongside colleagues from other disciplines.

Profile

• PhD in biochemistry or biophysics.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in biochemistry/biophysics within a drug discovery environment.
• Ability to integrate biochemical/biophysical data into early drug discovery programs.
• Leadership experience preferred; potential to take on personnel responsibility for technical assistants (m/f/d).
• Positive, communicative and open personality that supports productive project discussions with internal and customer teams.
• Fluent English and basic German language skills required.
