Joining the Central Europe Reward team, you will play a crucial role in delivering our reward strategy to attract, engage and retain the best people for our business. This role combines Reward expertise, project management and reward partnering aspects for our Central European operations. You will be the key reward partner for employee populations in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and optionally our nearshore operations in Portugal.
Working closely with the Central Europe Reward Director, the EMEA Reward team and the wider HR population, this role will ensure the design, implementation, maintenance and communications of Total Reward projects and processes based on the Global, EMEA and Central Europe reward strategy, policies and standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of global, regional and cluster cyclical processes, including salary survey submission, pay range review, annual salary review and incentive accruals and payouts.
- Act as the markets’ lead and escalation point for job evaluation, supporting the ongoing development of the dentsu career framework and job architecture.
- Lead the delivery of non‑cyclical reward projects within a Central Europe cluster.
- Accountability for ongoing global reward governance, including EU Pay Transparency directive, and support matrixed working, ensuring rigour and oversight of decisions.
- Lead reward partnering for selected markets to ensure the effective support of the business.
- Drive total reward education and communications and support decision making with Workers’ Councils.
Qualifications
- Execution‑oriented dynamic problem solver who thrives on change and fast‑moving organisation; able to self‑manage with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong project management and organisational skills – excellent time management and ability to multi‑task among competing demands.
- Experience and knowledge of the annual compensation cycle, including salary and incentive review, market data collection and analysis, market research and budgeting for salary increases.
- Detail‑oriented, ability to meet deadlines and to make professional judgement and critical decisions.
- Able to deliver high quality documentation; presentations, process maps and guidance documents, and put management principles in place to support cascade and version control.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build strong working relationships at all levels, generating confidence through healthy challenge and debate.
- Excellent influencer who is able to create a compelling case based on empathy and analysis/fact‑based argument, adjusting their personal approach to influence change in a range of stakeholders.
- Fluent in both English and German, with strong negotiation skills in both languages.
