Senior Risk Control Specialist Casualty, Continental Europe

This position will be based out of our Cologne, Germany or Paris, France office.

What you’ll be doing:

• Partnering with the Casualty Team Leaders in Underwriting throughout Continental Europe
• Risk mitigation through comprehensive recommendations, developing logistics best practices, monitoring their implementation with clients to ensure loss reduction and better risk management procedures.
• Partnering Claims, and Management/Executive teams to support and strengthen corporate business goals, including retention, new business growth, reducing loss exposure, and overall regional profitability.
• Providing service quality reviews and risk desktop reviews for Underwriters throughout CE.
• Conducting loss control surveys at client locations to determine potential hazards and risk factors to be considered in underwriting/risk selection.
• Analyzing loss trends, recognizing opportunities to provide risk control products and/or services which can help reduce losses.
• Creating client facing reports and loss control surveys.

What You’ll Bring:

• A University degree or equivalent industry accreditation.
• 10+ years’ experience in insurance Risk Control in Continental Europe.
• Solid understanding of sound Risk Control processes and techniques.
• Ability to effectively problem solve and find alternative equivalent solutions to complex technical, business, and interpersonal problems.
• A self-starter who can initiate and complete a project with minimal supervision.
