(Senior) Safety Management System (SMS) Manager (all genders) – Hamburg, Germany

What you will do

• Define the Safety Objectives and overall strategy for the Safety Management System (SMS)
• Develop and maintain the framework for implementing, operating, and monitoring the SMS
• Manage safety risks by identifying, assessing, tracking, and mitigating them proactively
• Drive safety promotion by building and maintaining a strong safety culture across the organization
• Monitor SMS performance and ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements

What will help you to fulfill your role

• A degree in science, engineering, physics or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience
• Strong background in safety management for safety-critical domains
• Deep knowledge of ISO 26262, ISO 21448, ISO21434, UNECE R155/R156/R157, ASPICE, safety assurance frameworks, etc.
• Experience with incident investigation, risk modeling or safety case methodologies
• Experience in autonomous driving technologies
• Extensive professional experience in safety-critical industry
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Strong personality to drive safety mindset across technical and non-technical teams
• Business-level fluency in English, both written and spoken
