Drive Sales Success in SCADA and Power Plant Control Software for Wind, Solar and BESS

Opoura is looking for an experienced Senior Sales Manager to accelerate software sales growth in the DACH region, focusing on our SCADA and Power Plant Control solutions. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, Europe, you will play a key role in expanding our market presence, securing new customers, and strengthening key relationships within the renewable energy sector. We serve a diverse client base, including OEMs, Asset Owners, EPCs, and Traders, leveraging our deep expertise in wind, solar PV, and BESS. While industry experience is a plus, we value strong sales capabilities, a commercial mindset, and the ability to drive business growth.

This role is based in Hamburg with the flexibility to work remotely and requires up to 50 travel days per year.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth – Promote Opoura’s SCADA and Power Plant Control software, expand our market share and secure new business.
  • New business development – Identify and acquire new customers while developing existing accounts.
  • Strategic account management – Develop and execute tailored account strategies for key customers.
  • Market insights and sales optimization – Analyze trends, identify new market opportunities, and contribute to refining the sales strategy.
  • Leverage CRM and internal systems to manage sales activities, track customer interactions, and drive data-informed decision-making.

Your background

We are looking for a commercially driven sales professional with:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field – experience in renewables (wind, solar, BESS) is a plus.
  • A hunter’s mindset and strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • The ability to articulate complex software solutions in a way that aligns with customer needs.
  • Analytical and strategic skills to leverage market trends and drive sales execution.
  • Fluency in both English and German is required.
  • A natural interest in technology and software solutions.
