Senior SAP FI/CO Consultant (m/w/d)

This freelance assignment offers the opportunity to play a key role in a greenfield SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation within a global organization.

The Assignment

As a Freelance SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant , you will support a global S/4HANA program and take ownership of FI/CO-related workstreams. You will contribute to the definition of a global finance template and support rollout activities across multiple international entities.

You will work closely with an internal SAP Finance lead, a small in-house finance team, and other external consultants. The focus is on leveraging SAP S/4HANA standard functionality to harmonize, digitalize, and optimize finance processes across the group.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support FI/CO-related activities within a global SAP S/4HANA template and rollout program
• Design and enhance integrated finance solutions, including interfaces to third-party tools (e.g. invoice management, travel & expense systems)
• Translate business requirements and local regulatory needs into scalable, standardized SAP solutions
• Contribute to structured project execution using an established project methodology
• Document processes, configurations, and decisions across all project phases
• Act as a trusted sparring partner for finance and IT stakeholders across multiple countries

Your Profile

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO)
• Solid understanding of end-to-end finance processes and system configuration
• Experience working on global template and rollout projects
• Consulting mindset with strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Structured, self-driven working style with a focus on delivery and results
• Ability to identify improvement opportunities and proactively drive solutions
