We manage leading German based international companies in the delivery of their services or the implementation of projects where specialized IT Network and Security expertise is needed.

To further strengthen our f5 competence team in Langenfeld and Cochin, we are looking for you as (Senior) Security Engineer to design, engineer, implement and operate f5 on premise and f5 Distributed Cloud Platform based architectures.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure infrastructure operations (2nd and 3rd level support) in compliance with customer specific SLAs. Identify, assess, and implement solutions based on f5 load balancer, Access Policy Manager, web application security, and IAM integration capabilities.
• Be part of client projects and recommend architectural deployments, develop, document and review high level, and low‑level design documents. Implement or migrate the existing infrastructure to f5 solutions and coordinate required tasks.
• Lead problem management as technical escalation point, performing analysis and recommendations for f5 infrastructures. Plan changes for client f5 architectures, identify and mitigate risks during implementation.
• Actively contribute to the technological and procedural development of the mispa Network and Security Operations Center Services.
• As part of global Network and Security Operations Center team, ensure seamless operations of client infrastructure, manage sophisticated global enterprise‑wide f5 deployments to effectively meet all specific business requirements.
• Guide and support the Operations team as an f5 expert on complex issues in the customer environment.

Your Profile

• Have extensive professional experience as a network and security engineer in the areas of architectural design, operations, and consulting.
• Strong knowledge in dealing with f5 solutions (LTM, APM, ASM, TMOS & iRules) are mandatory
• Thorough understanding of the latest principles and techniques in respect to authentication (e.g., Kerberos, SAML) protocols.
• Advanced level of troubleshooting skills on f5 systems and with diverse network, authentication and web traffic analysis tools.
• Very good experience with web security and web application firewalls.
• Minimum 4 years of work experience with network and security technologies and bachelor’s degree in Technology or in Computer Science.
• Professional Level and/or expert level certification for f5 and any additional technology and certification is a benefit.
• Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure, independent, structured, reliable way of working and hands‑on mentality.
• Quick perception, creativity, structured approach and pleasure in solving complex challenges, willingness for upgrading skills and very good communication skills both written and oral in English (Cochin & Langenfeld) and German (Langenfeld).
