Senior Shopify (Liquid) Developer (m/f/x)- Freelance

Project Details:

Start: As soon as possible
Duration: Until end of January 2026 (with option to extend)

Project language: English, C1 Level (German is a nice-to-have)

Project Description:

We're looking for 2x experienced developers (m/f/d) to support a complex e-commerce project involving the migration of a large platform to Shopify. The project includes full frontend implementation without a headless approach, with a strong focus on Liquid as the templating language.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development
• At least 1 year experience with Shopify
• Demonstrable exprience developing Shopify for very large online e-commerce/companies (Million € revenue)
• Strong expertise in Liquid (approx. 90% of the work will be in Liquid)
• Experience in Shopify front-end development (non-headless)
• React knowledge
• Templating experience and understanding of Shopify architecture
• Performance optimization in the Shopify environment
• Familiarity with best practices in Shopify development
• Dawn-Architecture
• Setting up CI/CD Pipelines
• Knoweledge in using diverse Shopify tools
