About this Role: Become the Mastermind of our Social Presence

As Senior Marketing Manager – Social Media in Germany (based in Berlin), you’ll lead how our brand shows up across all social channels. Reporting into the Head of Brand & Campaigns, you’ll shape and execute our social media brand strategy, driving cultural relevance, consideration, and preference while supporting our business goals.

You’ll act as the Social Media Editor-in-Chief for Germany, setting the direction for our social storytelling and coordinating the full content and editorial calendar across paid & organic, partnering with the Brand PR / Influencer team for a fully integrated approach. You’ll own our relationship with our social media agency, steer always-on content production, extend high-light brand campaigns on social, and ensure our channels reflect what audiences care about in real time.

This role blends strategy and execution, perfect for someone who lives and breathes social, thrives in culture, and knows how to translate audience behaviour into powerful narratives & creative executions. As part of the Brand team, you’ll collaborate closely with Campaigns, PR / Influencer, Key City Marketing, and Customer Service to ensure social is tightly integrated into everything we do.

Key Responsibilities: Your Strategic & Creative Mandate

  • Strategy & Vision Ownership: Lead the end-to-end social media strategy and execution for Germany across all owned platforms, setting a clear vision for how the brand shows up culturally and creatively.
  • Editorial Leadership (Editor-in-Chief): Manage the full editorial calendar across paid & organic, partnering closely with Brand PR for creator and influencer channels, ensuring consistent storytelling and smart integration across.
  • Agency & Content Management: Fully own and manage the relationship with our social media agency, overseeing always-on content production and publishing to ensure high-quality, timely, and culturally relevant output.
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Partner with the Campaigns, Brand / PR, Key City Marketing, and Customer Service teams to ensure social is integrated, responsive, and aligned with broader brand priorities.
  • Performance & Evolution: Shape and evolve our channel strategies, content approach, creative formats, and social playbooks based on performance insights and audience behaviour. Establish clear KPIs and reporting structures, driving insights for continuous improvement.
  • Budget & Influencer Strategy: Lead budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting for all social media activities, while contributing strategically to the local Influencer Strategy and developing activation concepts in close alignment with the Brand PR / Influencer team.

What You’ll Bring to the Table: The Social DNA We Need

  • Senior Expertise & Cultural Fluency: Extensive hands-on experience managing social media for recognised consumer brands. You possess deep cultural awareness, understanding how people use platforms, how trends evolve, and how brands can meaningfully participate.
  • Brand & Content Instinct: You have a natural feel for content and know what works on each channel. You possess a great instinct for brand voice, shaping tone, personality, and tonality so the brand feels consistent, distinctive, and culturally fluent across every channel.
  • Strategic Execution & Leadership: Strong ability to lead agencies, build strategy, and roll up your sleeves to execute at pace. This includes proven experience owning editorial planning, content calendars, channel strategies, and day-to-day community presence.
  • Data, Collaboration & Project Management: Proven hands-on experience with common social media management tools and the use of data for decision-making. You have strong cross-functional skills for aligning stakeholders and possess excellent project management abilities to balance multiple priorities.
  • Language Skills: Strong communication skills in German and English (German is mandatory).
