Do you want to have a positive impact with your passion for digital? Then join our team and help us scale the impact with a larger client base for conscious digital products.
Role
As a (Senior) Software Architect at DPM, you design resilient, future‑proof architectures and implement software that solves real problems for real people. Most of our current products are built on cloud infrastructure and make heavy use of TypeScript. However, we’re happy to use any technology if a project requires it. As engineers and consultants, we love digital – we love to try new things and develop our skills constantly, either on customer projects or on our internal initiatives. We also constantly question our approaches and discuss how to improve our processes on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Develop products holistically: define the technical strategy and architecture, guide projects from the initial technical estimation through implementation right up to deploying and managing the cloud infrastructure.
- Define and champion quality: write clean, maintainable code and ensure our high standards by establishing and pushing quality standards, actively sharing architectural knowledge as a mentor and consultant within the team and towards our clients.
- Drive technology proactively: evaluate innovative technologies for their practical value, find the right balance to integrate them effectively with our proven industry standards, act as a technical sparring partner for management and client leadership.
- Co‑shape our engineering practice: actively contribute to the strategic development of the entire software engineering domain at DPM, not just work within a single project.
- Move from idea to impact: advise clients on finding the best technical solution, validate solutions by building fast prototypes, evolve them into robust, scalable production code, and see them through to launch, using direct customer feedback for iteration.
Your Value‑Add
Core Experience & Mindset
- Professional Experience: 5+ years building and scaling digital products, including at least 2 years in a leading architectural role or as a technical consultant.
- Architectural Expertise First: profound knowledge in software architecture, design patterns (e.g., DDD), and the design of robust, scalable systems. Maintain a robust quality‑first mindset.
- Proactive & Collaborative: self‑directed work ethic with a strong, collaborative team‑player attitude. Love to learn, stay curious, and actively share knowledge.
- Agile & Interdisciplinary: thrive in agile, interdisciplinary teams and are passionate about delivering reliable, high‑impact products.
Technical & Communication Skills
- Cloud & Infrastructure: proven experience in building and deploying modern cloud applications (e.g., AWS or GCloud) and understand the impact of architectural decisions on cloud costs and maintainability. Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code or strong interest in learning it.
- Strong Communicator & Consultant: excellent communicator who can clearly and convincingly convey technical concepts to engineering teams, non‑technical stakeholders and clients. Comfortable engaging directly with clients.
- Language Proficiency: familiar with TypeScript, our primary language.
- Emerging Tech: keen eye for emerging technologies and can assess their practical application areas.
Bonus Points (Nice‑to‑Have)
We get especially excited if you bring deep experience in technical client consulting (pre‑sales or advisory), advanced Design Patterns, or Domain‑Driven Design (DDD).
