About the job

Trade Finance and Lending (TF&L) is a core and leading business department in Corporate Bank, working with clients around the globe. Trade finance focuses on supporting the physical flow of goods across borders while primarily using the goods, receivables and cash generated from the trade as the principal security. The group is working on a technology refresh of their IT platform to enable new services and products for customers as well as to achieve the next level of business processes automation and reduce transaction costs.

We are looking to join a successful in-house technology team designing, building and rolling out into production its strategic platform for the TF&L business. The architecture covers a wide range of capabilities to support global TF&L including loan lifecycle management, collateral management, and integrations with Cash, Treasury, Risk, and Finance systems.

Role

Senior Software Engineer (f/m/x) focusing on delivering a stable, reliable, and high-performance event-sourcing platform, contributing to business logic design and implementation, and all stages of the agile delivery pipeline: specification, automated testing, and level 3 production support. We seek self-driven engineers who contribute high-quality code and bring their vision and experience.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Write clean, testable code implementing business requirements and maintain automated testing coverage
• Collaborate with software developers, product managers and stakeholders to ensure quality and consistency of core functionality and APIs; work with Functional Analysts and Business Partners on functional and non-functional requirements
• Design and develop new functionality, including full-stack development (backends and UIs)
• Code, perform automated testing, and collaborate with QA engineers on test automation frameworks

Your Skills And Experiences

• Strong math and algorithms, good problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge of Core Java (21), Spring framework, SQL (Oracle is a plus)
• Knowledge of common design patterns
• Knowledge of JUnit and Cucumber to contribute to platform test automation
• User-level knowledge of Linux
• Fluent English verbal and written communication
