About the Role

Agile Robots SE has acquired a majority stake in audEERING GmbH in 2025. This vacancy is to be filled at audEERING GmbH, either in Munich or in Berlin. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior Software Engineer for our Audio AI Research team to drive the development and innovation of speech and language technologies and create interactive experiences. As a researcher in our team, you can build the future of intelligent interactions via natural language technologies while expanding your own expertise.

Your Responsibilities

• Build high-quality software code for a data pipeline to curate and generate high-quality synthetic and mixed multi-modal data for AI training.
• Develop real-time, low-latency media streaming software solutions for distributed client/server applications for voice interaction and speech and audio processing.
• Work with software and develop software for mobile devices, web browsers, and cloud backends.
• Contribute to the development of tools and infrastructure for efficient evaluation and benchmarking of AI models.

Essential Skills

• Very strong proficiency in Python.
• At least basic knowledge of C/C++.
• Strong proficiency in full-stack development (JavaScript, REST APIs, Backend, Cloud Deployment).
• Strong proficiency in building (web‑RTC) apps or systems.
• Significant experience in reducing latency in real-time systems, including optimizing inference speed of AI models, optimizing and parallelizing data flow, and use‑case engineering.
• Ability to work in a fast-evolving field, dynamic work environment and to deliver on time.
• Excellent team player, problem solver and goal achiever.

Beneficial Skills

• Experience in PyTorch, transformer models and other neural network architectures.
• Good proficiency in C/C++ or Rust.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools.
• Experience in parallel computing with compute clusters and/or major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle.
• Contributions to open‑source projects.
• Experience with audio and speech generation (synthesis) and transformation (voice conversion, translation, etc.).
• Experience in psychology or linguistics.
