Senior Modelling and Simulation Engineer for Instrumentation (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

• Write the model specification according to user and satellite’s system requirements.
• Develop the model using SimTG and C++.
• Integrate system models in the numerical simulation bench and support system-level validation activities.
• Prepare and maintain model documentation and test specifications.
• Verify and validate test models using SimOPS and Java, ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Create test plans, execute integration tests, and generate test reports for validation coverage.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering or a similar qualification.
• At least 4 years of experience in satellite systems or space simulation environments.
• Proficiency in C++ and Java programming languages.
• Experience in managing projects in the aerospace sector.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Git, Jira, etc.) and software testing practices.
• Experience with embedded software engineering.
• Ability to write technical documentation and system specifications.
• Experience with SimTG, SimOPS, and Eclipse environments is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving attitude, teamwork skills, and capacity for autonomous work.
• Very good English skills written and spoken—German is a plus.
