Senior Software -Hardware Integration Engineer

Due to further planned expansion, this leading sensor technology developer is seeking a Senior Software-Hardware Integration Engineer for their R+D HQ near Böblingen. The Senior Software-Hardware Integration Engineer will be responsible for developing and integrating embedded software under Linux and at bare-metal level software in C, C++ and VHDL for fibre optic-based sensor systems used in a variety of applications worldwide. The Senior Software-Hardware Integration Engineer will work as part of the software team but will also work closely with the hardware development team. Having completed your formal technical education, you will have gained post graduate development experience, developing software at hardware interface and embedded Linux software in C, C++ and VHDL. You will have experience with high-speed interfaces including PCIe, I2C, UART, JTAG etc and experience of working where hardware meets software is essential. You must speak fluent English and have intermediate (minimum B2) German language skills.
