Senior Software Verification Engineer (m/f/d)

You will ensure the quality and compliance of embedded firmware solutions in the Near Patient Care R&D organization, directly contributing to improved patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Verification Strategy & Architecture: Plan, execute, and document software tests across the entire development lifecycle, ensuring full traceability and coverage of system‑level requirements.
• Firmware Testing Automation Leadership: Define, implement, and lead device‑level automation test frameworks, including CI/CD integration, to enable rapid and safe firmware updates.
• Defect Management & Risk Analysis: Drive the defect management process, oversee reporting and resolution workflows, and perform rigorous risk analysis for all issues.
• Strategic Connectivity: Define and lead the verification strategy for wireless communication (BLE) and cybersecurity standards, ensuring risk‑based compliance.
• Agile Leadership & Knowledge Transfer: Provide technical guidance to agile testing teams, set standards for the Near Patient Care department, and promote knowledge sharing through training and consulting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
• 6–8 years of software testing experience with a Bachelor’s, or 5–7 years with a Master’s, or 3–5 years with a PhD, preferably in regulated environments (IEC 62304, ISO 13485).
• Expertise in firmware testing, embedded design, and building automated test frameworks.
• Experience managing defects in firmware/software development.
• Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), functional safety, and cybersecurity preferred.
• Strong teamwork in agile, globally distributed settings and fluent English.
