Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join our Financial Services Industries (FSI) team, working with Enterprise customers in this dynamic and rapidly evolving industry. This role combines deep technical expertise with industry-specific knowledge to help banks, insurances, fintechs, payment industries and exchange platforms to transform their businesses through cloud adoption. As a Senior Solutions Architect specializing in Financial Services, you will be the trusted technical advisor to C-level executives, and senior engineering leaders at major FSI companies. You'll architect complex, large-scale solutions that address their unique challenges in a highly regulated environment. Your expertise will span from migration of traditional applications to modernizing and rebuilding of core platforms. You will partner closely with AWS Sales teams and cross‑functional organizations to drive significant revenue growth while helping customers navigate the technical complexities of compliant, yet innovative transformation. This includes architecting solutions for Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) at scale, building resilient core banking platforms, fraud detection systems, and designing secure, compliant workflows for customer service.
The ideal candidate brings a unique combination of enterprise-level technical depth, proven financial services experience, and exceptional relationship‑building skills. You should have a demonstrated track record of architecting mission‑critical solutions, understanding the nuances of regulations in FSI, while being able to translate complex technical concepts into measurable business value for FSI executives.
Key job responsibilities
Solutions Architects work hand in hand with AWS customers to help them make the most of the Cloud. They combine business and technology and engage with organizations at all stages of cloud adoption. Solutions Architects are responsible for creating and presenting technical content and sharing best practices. Solutions Architects are responsible for the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS and make recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency. They work to understand the customers' needs and give prescriptive guidance on how to create business value with AWS technology. Solutions Architects lead activities such as architecture reviews, whiteboarding sessions, demos and technical workshops. They collaborate with other teams such as account management, professional services, support, product teams and the AWS partner ecosystem. As a Solutions Architect, you'll create innovative cloud solutions and showcase AWS capabilities to customers. You'll design cloud‑native architectures and join a diverse team of technologists. While AWS knowledge is beneficial, we value strong technical fundamentals and eagerness to learn. You'll continuously expand your expertise through customer interactions, peer collaboration, and hands‑on experimentation. We emphasize long‑term customer success and reward innovation.
