Senior Solutions Architect (m / f / d)

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join our team in Germany. You’ll work closely with SAP and our clients to design performant, composable banking platforms — helping co‑create thefuture of financial services. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong consulting skills and a passion for collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Represent SAP Fioneer in technical discussions with SAP product owners
• Pitch and lead co‑innovation initiatives with clients
• Design architecture for banking / insurance platforms, including banking‑specific solution designs for large corporates in areas such as BASEL III, regulatory risk, financial accounting, and reporting
• Participate in our Design Authority Board and make critical design decisions
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and shape architectures for entirely new software
• Support IT transformation projects and landscape design
• Act as a trusted advisor in customer‑facing engagements
• Engage with large clients to understand their processes, identify recurring patterns, and feed insights into our internal knowledge base and product strategy
• Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP Fioneer technologies

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience, including proven experience in a senior architecture or solution design role within banking or insurance IT
• Deep banking expertise in financial accounting and risk management is required
• Strong knowledge of SAP S / 4HANA and application architecture
• Experience in IT transformation and consulting
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks (e.g., COBIT, TOGAF)
• Data modeling and business process modeling in a banking context
• Business fluent in English and German
• High flexibility, creativity, and problem‑solving mindset
• Comfortable in dynamic, innovative environments
