What’s the role?
As a Dynatrace Log Management and Analytics Solutions Engineer, you will be a key member of the Dynatrace sales engine and will be responsible for providing excellent technical support to the sales team. You will be the expert on Dynatrace and observability, specializing in Log Management and Analytics. You’ll execute great demos, manage POCs onsite and remotely, build key relationships with customers, and complete RFIs & RFPs. You will work across teams including innovation labs, Expert Services consultants, CSMs and marketing.
Responsibilities
- Evangelize Dynatrace’s product offerings during international trade shows and key customer account meetings.
- Partner with sales representatives to identify new and incremental sales opportunities.
- Participate in PoC creation and cloud architecture discussions, leading the technical solution evaluation.
- Present Dynatrace’s vision to C‑suite executives.
- Provide technical guidance in the discovery, solution evaluation, and proposal stages of the sales cycle.
- Lead on‑stage demonstrations at industry events and partner‑sponsored events.
- Gather, qualify, and provide customer feedback to Product Management.
- Build best practices and share knowledge with the team.
- Collaborate with local Sales and Sales Engineering leadership to identify learning and development opportunities.
- Create and modify Dynatrace template presentations for specific customer demands.
- Act as a technical point of contact for partners, supporting their teams in customer engagements.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience with log analytics technologies and techniques.
- Excellent team player, capable of working across disciplines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, translating technical value into business value.
- Ability to troubleshoot and manage technical issues and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong desire to grow professionally, adapt to changing environments, and be coachable.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Experience in solutions/sales engineering or customer‑facing consultancy.
- Experience with query languages (SQL, SPL, KQL) and observability pipelines (FluentBit, OpenTelemetry, Cribl, Logstash).
- Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and programming/scripting (Java, .NET, PHP, Go, Node.js, database).
- Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with DevOps or SRE practices, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, serverless, CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
- Fluency in English and German required.
