The Senior Specialist Controlling plays a key role in driving financial transparency, business performance insights, and data‑driven decision-making within the organization. This role blends solid controlling expertise with strong analytical and technical skills, acting as a hybrid Controller/Data Analyst. The position supports the Manager Controlling by delivering high‑quality cost analysis, business planning, forecasting, and intercompany processes, while simultaneously pushing forward automation, digitalization, and innovative analytical solutions. The Senior Specialist Controlling ensures accuracy, efficiency, and forward‑looking financial steering for the region and serves as a trusted partner to finance and business stakeholders.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Cost Controlling & Performance Analysis: Conduct detailed cost center controlling, variance analysis, and profitability reviews. Identify trends, risks, and business drivers, translating data into actionable insights for management.
• Forecasting, Budgeting, and Business Planning: Support the development of monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long‑term business plans. Partner with business units to gather assumptions, challenge inputs, and ensure financial alignment and rigor.
• Intercompany Transactions & Financial Process Support: Oversee intercompany charges, reconciliations, documentation, and compliance. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Data Analytics, Reporting & Visualization: Build and maintain scalable dashboards, reports, and KPIs using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Leverage SQL, Python, and automation techniques to increase transparency, reduce manual work, and strengthen data quality.
• Continuous Improvement & Automation in Controlling: Identify opportunities to automate recurring processes, streamline data flows, and enhance the controlling system landscape. Drive innovative analytical approaches, introduce new tools, and support digital transformation initiatives within Controlling.
• Ensure data governance and compliance with internal and external financial reporting standards.
• Support ad-hoc analysis requests from senior leadership.

Show your expertise

• Successfully completed business studies with at least a Bachelor's degree or commercial training with comparable qualifications
• Several years of professional experience in the field of corporate controlling
• Good user skills in SAP (FI and CO); experience in SAP-CATS would be an advantage
• Confident handling of common PC programs and MS Office applications
• Good written and spoken German and English
