Senior System Administrator - Kubernetes Administration

Position: Senior System Administrator - Kubernetes Administration

Location: Hannover, Germany

Type: Full-time/%80 Remote

Role & Responsibilities:

• Build and manage Kubernetes clusters on-prem (SUSE Rancher, VMware)
• Perform zero-downtime upgrades and patches
• Implement Observability: ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki
• Backup/restore and sizing of ETCD / control plane
• Deployments using Helm and Kustomize
• Automate tasks using Bash or Python, optionally Argo Workflows
• Manage Ceph or Longhorn storage
• Implement Kubernetes security & network policies
• Maintain technical documentation in Confluence

Must-Have Requirements:

• Strong Kubernetes On-Prem experience
• Experience with SUSE Rancher & VMware
• Logging/Monitoring stacks (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)
• Linux administration
• Scripting (Bash/Python)
• German at B2 level (mandatory)

Nice-to-Have:

• Kubernetes certification (CKA)
• Cilium knowledge
• Deep Kubernetes architectural understanding
