Position: Senior System Engineer - Enterprise Mobility Management

Location: Bonn, Berlin, Meckenheim, München, Nürnberg, Wilhelmshaven ((Only one person will be hired per location)

1. Project / Department Overview

The Digital Workplace Service Line delivers and operates services for stationary and mobile workplace systems, end-user devices, communication services, and backend infrastructures.
Within this environment, the Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) division is responsible for designing and maintaining secure, modern mobility solutions including systems approved for handling sensitive information (e.g., high-security mobile devices and backend components).
The role contributes to shaping the secure mobile communication landscape of the future through architectural design, service development, and technical expertise.

2. Responsibilities

The Senior System Engineer fulfills the following tasks:

Service Architecture & Engineering
Design and architect secure mobile solutions within the EMM environment.
Serve as a technical expert in projects involving scalable and secure mobile infrastructures.
Plan, build, and extend EMM platforms for secure mobile devices.

Cross-Team Collaboration
Collaborate closely with other architecture teams to ensure end-to-end solution alignment.
Continuously improve services by evaluating technological trends and incorporating best practices.

Documentation & Advisory
Create and maintain technical documentation for all responsible services.
Provide technical consulting to service management and internal stakeholders.

Operational Support
Support 2nd-level operations, including coordination with vendors for assigned products.
Assist with troubleshooting escalations and ensure stable service operations.

Certification Requirements
If certificates are required to prove specific qualifications, they must still be valid at the time of submission. Equivalent proof may be accepted if it demonstrates compliance with required standards.

3. Qualifications

Tools & Technical Skills
Proficiency in MS Office tools: Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Languages
German: C1 (CEFR)
English: B1 (CEFR)

Education
One of the following:
Bachelors degree in an IT-related field, or
Recognized IT vocational training, or
At least 8 years of professional experience in the IT environment

Certifications
IT Service Management knowledge at the level of ITIL Foundation (certificate required)

4. Professional Experience Requirements

Experience with VMware Workspace ONE, Android, and iOS - Minimum 2 years
Experience designing mobile enterprise solutions within high-security infrastructures (e.g., classified environments) - Minimum 1 year
All experience must be continuous, recent, and substantial – not sporadic or occasional.
