Senior System Software Engineer (Railway)

Responsibilities

The Engineer is asked to specify & write HMI software, developed for regional trains.

The development will mainly be done in Visual basic 6.0 & VB.net programming tool.

A ground experience for setting in service on-board complex systems (e.g. in trains) is required.

• Coding of HMI software in Visual basic 6.0, VB.net
• Development and modification of System / Software requirement & Design Specifications, Type test specifications and further documentation according to relevant input documentation.
• Creating new icons & updating existing icons for HMI
• Support the creation of driver and maintenance documentation linked to HMI.
• Support of commissioning and test activities on train on site.
• Creation of impact analyses.
• Definition of concept and coding (evtl. database) regarding train on-board diagnosis and diagnosis train to ground.

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience in design & programming of HMI Software in at least 2 different projects
• Expert in Visual basic 6.0 programming
• Expert in VB .NET programming
• German and English languages are mandatory.
