Redstone Commodity Search is working with an international trading house that is looking to bring onboard a Senior Base Metal Trader to enable them to expand into the EU/UK markets, to be based in London. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial professional with a self-starter mindset, taking full ownership of the P&L for their traded commodity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute trading strategies, identifying and expanding new markets across suppliers and buyers.
• Structure and negotiate trade contracts to optimise commercial outcomes.
• Manage risk exposure across the full trade cycle, ensuring profitability and financial security.
• Oversee derivative position management, leveraging deep knowledge of commodity markets.
• Conduct market analysis to drive business growth and enhance trading performance.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a trader in base metals, with strong industry networks / a transferable book.
• Proven ability to originate and execute high-value trades.
• Expertise in risk management and financial exposure mitigation.
• Strong analytical skills, with a deep understanding of price trends and market dynamics.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
